Retrofit
Taking a cold, expensive house and making it a warm, cheap one, without guesswork.
How a retrofit runs
- Survey. We look at the house as it actually is, not as a spreadsheet imagines it. Heat loss, fabric, existing heating, how you live in it.
- Plan. What to do, in what order, and what each step is worth. Fabric first where fabric is the problem.
- Install. Fabric upgrades, heating replacement, heat pump, controls, commissioned properly.
- Handover. You get a system you understand and a record of what was done.
Why the order matters
Putting a heat pump into a leaky house is the most common and most expensive mistake in Irish retrofit. A heat pump sized for an uninsulated house is bigger, dearer and runs harder for the rest of its life. Fixing the fabric first usually means a smaller unit and a lower bill.
Start with a survey
Every job of this kind starts with someone looking at the building. Tell us what you have and we will arrange it.
